Empower Mali has received $5,000 from a donor that wishes to remain anonymous! Thanks to this donation, we will able to supply the Karl and Erika Michel Academy of Ouelessebougou with textbooks this coming year.
The Karl and Erika Academy of Ouelessebougou was built by Building Youth Around the World. This middle school has alleviated the severe overcrowding in the fast growing city of Ouelessebougou.
The books will allow each pupil to have his own textbook. The books will be in the care of the education committee of school and will be used for many years.
