Here is How We Measure the Minimum Impact of Your Donation

Here is an example of one of our impact counters:

Minimum Impact Value
$0
Growing in real time since 2012

Here is how this number is computed:

The minimum impact calculator displays the lowest measurable impact your contribution makes and is created by adding the value of the construction of your project to the value of the impact  for each person affected by the contribution each year. By tracking the number of individuals benefitted over time we come to a measurable base impact value of the original donation. The individual donation, in the case of schools, is a combination of a few factors: $200/year per student enrolled, $3000/year per teacher and $9000/year per admin given a job where there previously was none.

This number says nothing of the much higher impact that is made, reflected by intangible things that can’t be measured so easily such as quality of life improvements, access to new opportunities, productivity increases, and overall health and relationship improvements.  Thank you for the incredible impact made by your generous donations.

Lastly, we anticipate that from this group of individuals who have been given new opportunities that there will be rising stars that will rise up and change the shape of the economic and cultural landscape of Mali through their own contributions back to the land of their birth.

Original Donation amount :

$60,000

Year Project was Completed:

2012

Number of students attending each year:

150

Value of education per student per year:

$320

This would add up as follows:

$60,000 + ($200 x 150 + $18,000 = $48,000/yr) x number of years since the time of completion divided into 525600 minutes per year)

Then we do this for every project.
