Dedication of the Micah Shea Watkins Academy of Dongorona

On August 6th, 2016, the village of Dongorona celebrated the dedication of the Micah Shea Watkins Academy of Dongorona. In the presence of Jordan Watkins, a family member representing the Watkins family that so generously donated this middle school, the community of Dongorona turned out in huge numbers to celebrate. Asuncion, Paraguay— Diakaridia Samake is the first Malian recipient of a three year scholarship to Fundación Paraguaya’s Agricultural School. A little about Diakaridia. Diakaridia was abandoned by his mother when he was just a small boy. Soon after his father passed away leaving him an orphan at the young age of 7 years. Second BYAW Academy to be built!

Dongorona Academy Completed!

We are excited to announce the completion of the Micah Shea Watkins Academy of Dongorona. This school project includes a three classroom middle school, six latrines, and a directors office. Dongorona is a remote village within the city of Oueléssébougou, located one and a half hours from the country’s capital city. A playground for Ferekoroba!

What a great day for the people and children on Ferekoroba!! Today, an electricity producing playground was installed in the village. During the 5-day installation, the village participated in helping install the playground. The village leaders, teachers and school director also received an extensive training on the 40 solar lanterns and science kits that were part of the playground unit. Two Tractors donated to Garalo and San

One tractor was offered by a private investor while the other was donated by the Watkins family in Alpine, Utah.
